In the Medical Science University of Iran, scientists made a study. They divide the participants into 2 groups. There were 88 women with extra weight problem.
For period of three months the women from both groups were having a healthy diet and they consumed less than 500 calories a day. The only difference was the use of spices. The first group consumed 3 grams of cumin every day.
These women mixed the cumin with 140 grams of yogurt and ate it every morning on an empty stomach. The second group also consumed yogurt but without cumin.
What was unbelievable was that the first group of women after a period of 1 month lost 14 pounds more than the second group. They lost 14.64 % fat and the second one only 4.91 % fat.
This happened because the cumin is rich in filosterole, which has the ability to prevent retention of cholesterol in our body. That is the main reason is so beneficial for boosting the metabolism and make us lose extra weight.
